Readme for CRE Loaded 6.1 Public Beta 1

This is the initial releae of the long awaited CRE Loaded 6.1.  The road has been rather rocky, and marked by some radical changes in the team.  More are coming, and they mean good things for us all.

There are a lot of new items in this release.  Improved template code - marking the first release that attempts to allow all 4 templates to be fully functional Ecommerce sites. Paypal IPN 2.8 - a radical redesign in itself.  Upgraded authorize.net AIM capability.  All Products and All Products by Manufacturer and Category.  Backup mySQL, courtesty of our sister team at Zen-Cart.  Theres much more, too much to name here.

That last will also change, with increased reliance on our Source Forge site.  This will become more accessible to users also - as we now have a new Admin splash screen, courtesy of Kerry Watson.  This screen features, among numerous other improvements, a menu allowing direct access to many of the teams Source Forge tools. Please take advantage of them.  Keep in mind that some of these changes - particularly Payment Without Account, are large changes. PWA was made very late in development, therefore this is a Public Beta release.  Share any problems you see in the forum, we know there will be some and will be working to improve this.   Your input will be appreciated.

The main menu will tell you about our new Google Ad Donation program.  Please participate.  Your funding will allow us to continue to provide not only this software, but the increased support activities you should notice over the coming months.

Installation Instructions 

1.  Upload the files to your web server
    Server requirements:

    * php 4 or higher
    * mysql 3 or higher
    * php.ini settings Registerglobals = On must be set 

2. Run the normal oscommerce installation script at http://youdomain.com/pathtocatalog/install/index.php
(the above in an example url, replace youdomain.com with your actual domain name and /pathtocatalog/ with the folder you installed the CRE Loaded 6 into.  You may have to rename a file called dot.htaccess to .htaccess after  you finish uploading

3. Answer the questions on the installation script and when you are done you will have the CRE Loaded 6.0 installed

4. Use the default user id : admin@localhost.com

   and

   default password : admin

 to access the carts administration tools

5. Change the default user ID and password to secure your administration tools

6. Set the store configuration settings using the store administration tools configuration menu

7. Set localization settings for tax zones, shipping modules, payment modules and order total sort order.

8. Enjoy your CRE Loaded 6.1 shopping cart. -  You may find support from your Admin Splash screen - or point your browser at http://www.creloaded.com
